We appreciate all of our cosmetics patients understanding as we have placed elective cosmetic procedures on hold due to COVID-19.
With the practice gradual reopening May 11th 2020, Dr. Stephen Flax, our Board Certified Dermatologist will continue to provide aesthetic nonsurgical procedures for those patients interested in facial enhancement through the use of Botox and fillers.
We will continue to monitor data and when deemed safe will announce Botox days and open his schedule for filler patients. Our practice will continue to sell cosmetic products, but at this time products are limited and will be ordered based on demand.
Patients needing refills for cosmetic prescriptions will still need to be seen by appointment and Rxs will be sent to the pharmacy as our practice will no longer sell in house.
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that improves fine lines, skin texture, and tone by removing the top most layer of skin leaving it more supple and vibrant. Microdermabrasion stimulates the elastic tissue resulting in a healthier and firmer appearance. After a series of treatments, this treatment can reduce large pores, mild acne scars, and pigment irregularities.
At Dermatology Associates, we are using the DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing device, the top of the line, medical-grade microdermabrasion machine. The DiamondTome treatment is non-invasive, pain-free, and requires no downtime.

An IPL Photofacial uses pulses of light, producing a ripple effect that reaches several layers deep into the skin. The depth of this penetration, as well as the specific light wavelength are carefully controlled and depend on your specific skin type. The light pulses target superficial pigmentation or redness, but also penetrate to the collagen-stimulating deeper layers of the skin. The result is an improvement in pigmentation as well as new collagen and connective tissue production, giving your skin a younger, smoother appearance.
What can IPL Photofacials treat?
Sun-damaged skin, enlarged pores, fine lines, Rosacea, age spots (sun-induced freckles), most benign brown pigments, dilated blood vessels, redness caused by broken capillaries (telangiectasia).
