Dr. HUMZA ILYAS graduated cum laude from Penn State University, Dr. Ilyas earned
his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He then
completed his internship in internal medicine at the Western Pennsylvania
Hospital in Pittsburgh and his dermatology residency at Albert Einstein College
of Medicine in New York City. During his final year of residency, Dr. Ilyas was
awarded the honor of chief resident in dermatology. Dr. Ilyas then completed a
fellowship in Mohs Surgery & Procedural Dermatology at the University of
Wisconsin, where Dr. Frederic E. Mohs originally pioneered the technique for
skin cancer removal.
Dr. Ilyas specializes in Mohs surgery and advanced
reconstructive techniques. He also maintains an interest in both general and
cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Ilyas is a diplomate of the American Board of
Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a fellow of
the American College of Mohs Surgery. He has published widely and has presented
his findings at numerous medical conferences. In addition, he has written
textbook chapters on nonmelanoma skin cancer for primary care physicians.
Dr. Ilyas is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. He and his wife & two
daughters reside in Leesburg, Virginia and enjoy traveling, sports, and spending
time with family.
